ThermaCAM™ S65
The ThermaCAM S65 is a rugged (IP 54) infrared camera designed especially for Research and Development, scientific testing and general-purpose non-contact measurement. Hand-held or mounted on a tripod, operated locally or by remote control, with optional lenses and/or filters, the ThermaCAM S65 can be configured to meet a variety of scientific applications.

LCD display with remote control
Detachable LCD-display with user-friendly controls. Includes an innovative, durable joystick and direct-access fingertip buttons.

Extraordinary image quality
A state-of-the-art, uncooled microbolometer allows you to see temperature differences as small as 0.08°C in a range from -40°C to +2,000°C. It produces outstanding noise-free crisp high-resolution images (320 x 240 pixels), offering more than 76,000 individual measurement points per image at a refresh rate of 50/60 Hz.

Viewfinder
The ThermaCAM S65 incorporates a high resolution TFT color viewfinder.

Thermal and visual images
The ThermaCAM S65 takes high-definition thermal images. At the same time, it records visual images with its built-in digital camera. This visual image can be used as a reference against the thermal image. A lamp can be connected to the camera to illuminate dark areas, so that you always produce clear, high-quality visual images to document your findings.

Direct access buttons
For increased flexibility, the operator can program four buttons located on the side of the S65. Change color palettes, emmisivity settings or temperature ranges. Activate analysis tools such as spots, areas, isotherms, ... all at the touch of just one button.

Laser activator
A conveniently placed button activates the Laser LocatIR™ laser pointer.

LCD data panel
An LCD screen gives you continuous information about the status of specific camera functions. It provides you with information on battery usage, storage capacity, communication status and more.

FireWire digital output
Enhanced connectivity options include composite video and IEEE 1394 interface for super fast image and data transfer of real-time, fully radiometric 14-bit JPEG images.

Multiple storage possibility
JPEG images are stored on removable multimedia FLASH cards (256 MB) or in the camera’s internal memory. The camera also incorporates a built-in RAM memory for AVI or burst recording.

Easy connectivity
USB and RS-232 connections allow fast downloading of full-radiometric 14-bit JPEG images. A wireless headset with Bluetooth technology can be connected for voice annotations.

A full range of accessories
The ThermaCAM™ S65 is designed with a built-in 24° field-of-view lens. This standard optic is suitable for the majority of applications. On the ThermaCAM S65 you can mount a complete series of accessory lenses including close-up, wide angle, telescopic and microscopic lenses to suit the most demanding applications. Apart from lenses, a complete series of accessories is available.

Powerful, real-time digital storage and analysis
Coupled with FLIR’s ThermaCAM Researcher™ software, the S65 allows in-depth, extensive thermal analysis including 50/60 Hz real-time digital recording and evaluation of high speed events. Windows-based and extremely versatile, the ThermaCAM Researcher software adds a new level of power and flexibility to thermal imaging by offering extensive static and real-time analysis capabilities as well as high speed data acquisition. ThermaCAM Researcher offers powerful built-in measurement functions for fast and extensive analysis including: isotherms, spot measurement, line profile, area histograms... All tools allow independent emissivity and distance settings. The FireWire interface, allows for fast downloading of images from the camera and for real-time image and data analysis.

Flexible JPEG image storage
The ThermaCAM™ S65 saves images as fully radiometric JPEGs. These images, together with measurement plus voice and/or text annotion are stored either on a removable FLASH PC card (256 MB) or in the camera’s FLASH memory. Images can easily be downloaded from the camera using the included ThermaCAM QuickView™ software.

Internal RAM-memory for burst and AVI recording
The ThermaCAM S65 can store up to 600 images on its internal RAM-memory. Radiometric images can be stored at a rate between 25 Hz and 0.5 Hz allowing between 24 seconds and 20 minutes recording time. Ideal when scanning moving targets. In camera play-back allows you to view recorded images or sequences without the need to carry a PC. The recorded data can also be easily transferred to a PC for further analysis in the optionally available ThermaCAM Researcher™ software. For those applications that do not require radiometric data, the camera can also record up to 35 seconds of moving images in an AVI-file.

Easy operation
Conveniently located buttons and a joystick, control all the features of the camera. Functions like autofocus, freezing and storing images are just a button away. The detacheable LCD display contains all the buttons to activate all camera functions remotely. Combined with the joystick, an intuitive user interface allows you to control the menus inside the camera just as easily as you control your PC with the mouse.

Image Gallery
If you want to review images in the camera you can open the "image gallery". This allows you to browse through thumbnail images and easily find and select the one you need.

Customize color palettes
Tailor your color palettes to your most demanding scientific applications and upload them in the camera.

Upload user profiles
No need to re-set all your preferred camera settings one by one if a colleague has used the camera. You can easily upload your own favorite camera settings (color palettes, spots or areas, ...)
